Faces behind MSM

Founded in 1990 by Ferdinand Hissmann and Claudia Dembeck, the MSM Group can rightly be called the "Mystery Shopping Pioneer" in the German-speaking world. MSM was born out of the idea to accompany international corporations as well as renowned and innovative medium-sized companies on their way to a sustainable increase in quality and performance at the point of sale by means of customised mystery shopping studies as well as result-based follow-up measures. Since then, MSM has been advising companies on how to consistently make the customer the focus of their business strategy.

We are particularly proud of the fact that MSM is still owner-managed and independent of any corporate group. This corporate structure not only enables us to maintain a personal corporate culture in which creative thinking, innovative action and the personal development of all employees are encouraged, but also a business policy geared towards sustainability, independent of shareholder value. We are committed to the success of our clients first and strive for long-term partnerships at eye level instead of short-term projects. Despite all its successes and constant growth, MSM continues to be the flagship for "medium-sized businesses at their best", also supporting multinational corporations with individual services.

In line with our mission statement, MSM has been "The Bridge to Your Success®" for almost thirty years. MSM is currently responsible for the projects of well over 100 clients who occupy outstanding positions in their respective industries. Responsible for this are MSM's independently acting, committed, motivated and thinking project teams, which are made up of experts from various fields. These include market researchers, psychologists, marketing specialists, IT specialists, coaches and personnel developers. In recent years, the number of employees has grown rapidly. Currently, MSM employs more than 140 people, distributed among the locations in Münster (headquarters) and subsidiaries MSM Austria/Switzerland (Vienna) and MSM China (Tianjin and Shanghai). The headquarters in Münster currently employs 47 people.

Continuous striving for progress and innovation has always been a high priority at MSM. The commitment to this corporate value found special expression in the founding of the subsidiary "Mdatiqs Data Solutions GmbH" in 1999. By bundling all relevant IT competences, individual solution packages can be created - in a customer environment ranging from medium-sized businesses to large corporations. In addition, we have experts who only deal with data protection issues. We thus place data protection and control in professional hands.

Those who recommend quality, service and customer orientation should naturally set a good example themselves. MSM is a member of the Mystery Shopping Providers Association (MSPA), the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR) and the Professional Association of German Market and Social Researchers (BVM). We are committed to uniformly high quality standards for mystery shopping projects.
